Toxic

I looked for beauty in your damaged soul,
So I know it's my fault too, I don't blame you whole.
Though that won't stop us from moving apart,
I won't be the one applying bandages to your hollow heart,
Or walk you home when you are drunk and out of control,
By the time you realise it, I would be back in the foxhole.
Coz I have realised, you need some serious med,
And I'm better off sleeping on a single bed.
No strings attached was supposed to be easy,
Yet it kept my mind way too busy,
How did we end up with so much jealousy?
You have no idea how crazy you sound,
While your craving for attention knows no bounds,
The world is not enough to be your playground.
It all looks cool in the movies but reality bites,
All I want is to get that image out of my sight,
To the core it makes me sick,
This thing we have is nothing but toxic.
